Sandra Montané

Dr Alejandra Montané López

Dr Montané holds a doctoral degree in pedagogy and predoctoral qualifications in philosophy and education sciences, training quality and trainer training. A lecturer and researcher at the UB’s Department of Didactics and Educational Organization, she is also a member of the UB research group Formació Docent i Innovació Pedagògica (Teacher Education and Teaching Innovation, FODIP).

Dr Montané has participated in numerous national and international research projects including Riape3, an Ibero-American interuniversity framework programme working for equity and social cohesion policies in HE. She is currently a member of the Latin American Council of Social Sciences (CLACSO) working group Universidades y políticas de educación superior (Universities and Policies on Higher Education) (2016-2019). The author of numerous articles in books and journals, she also sits on the editorial boards of various specialized journals at national and international levels. Her main fields of research are educational policies, higher education and teacher education.

Serafín Antúnez

Dr. Serafín Antúnez Marcos

Professor of the Department of Didactics and Educational Organization of the University of Barcelona. He has served as a teacher, School Director, Professor and Director of the University School of Teachers and Deputy Director of the Institute of Education Sciences of the UB.

He has written several books and articles on organization and management of educational centers, training of managers and teachers. Participates in multiple formative actions, congresses and national and international training projects for teachers, school managers, supervisors and people responsible for initial and permanent teacher training.

Director and member of the advisory board of various editorial collections and professional journals.

Susana Aranega

Dr. Susana Aránega Español

Teacher with a graduate in Philosophy and Educational Sciences and PhD in Pedagogy. Senior lecturer at University of Barcelona. Previously she has worked as a teacher, director of a Residential Educational Action Center and editor of various pedagogical magazines. She continues being a teacher and pedagogical consultant in different fields.

She has participated in international level research and training in countries such as Bolivia, El Salvador, the Dominican Republic, Colombia, Argentina and Chile and also at the national level.

She has developed online work materials for the training of trainers. She has published didactic materials for teachers of all educational stages, and didactic material for the stages of pre-school and elementary education. Author of several books, book chapters and articles with content related to teaching innovation, teaching competencies, competence assessment and training evaluation.

Zoia Bozu

Dr. Zoia Bozu

PhD in Pedagogy from the University of Barcelona (UB), with the mention of “European thesis”. Since 2004 she has been a member of the FODIP Group – Teacher Training and Pedagogical Innovation (Teaching Innovation Group and Research Group accredited by the University of Barcelona and the Generalitat de Catalunya).

She is a member of the International Observatory of the Teaching Profession (OBIPD) and of RELFIDO (European and Latin American Network of Training and Research in Teaching and Teaching Management). She has participated in different competitive projects at national and european level. She collaborates as a teacher with the University of Lleida in teaching pedagogical training courses for university professors. She is the author of numerous papers at international congresses and publications in the field of teacher training and pedagogical innovation.

Paulino Carnicaro

Dr. Paulino Carnicero Duque

Professor at the Faculty of Education of the University of Barcelona. Doctor in Educational Sciences, Master in Organization and Management of Educational Centers, Bachelor of Philosophy and Educational Sciences and Primary Education Teacher.

Specialized in organization and management of educational institutions, has extensive national and international experience in initial and ongoing training of teachers, managers, technicians and administrators of education, and teaching and university management. He has directed and participated in various national and international research, evaluations and studies as well as international development cooperation projects in Bolivia, Chile, Paraguay, Peru, El Salvador, Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Mexico and Colombia.

Francesc Imbermon

Dr. Francisco Imbernon Muñoz

Dr. Francisco Imbernón is chair of university of Didactic and Educational Organisation of the University of Barcelona. It has been director of the University School of Training of the techers of the University of Barcelona and director of the Department of Didactic and Educational Organisation of the same University. Teacher, graduate and doctor in Philosophy and Sciences of the Education, always has been concerned by the theory and the educational practice in diverse fields and levels.

This worry has carried him, no only to develop tasks in initial training but in the permanent training of the teachers of all the educational levels, from the primary until the University, and in the training of professionals.

It has received several prizes to the innovation and investigation and has published several books unipersonal on pedagogical alternatives.

Beatriz Jarauta

Dr. Beatriz Jarauta Borrasca

Degree in Education, Master in Innovation in University Teaching, Postgraduate in Emotional Education and PhD in Pedagogy from the University of Barcelona (extraordinary doctorate award, 2007-2008).

Since 2003, she has been an active member of the FODIP Research Group (Teacher Education and Pedagogical Innovation). Now, she is academic secretary of the International Observatory of the Teaching Profession-OBIPD and active member of the European and Latin American Network of Teacher Education and Innovation-RELFIDO. She has participated in different competitive research projects, disseminating the main results of his research in scientific publications.

Jose Luis Medina

Dr. José Luís Medina Moya

Degree in Pedagogy and PhD in Philosophy and Education Sciences. Doctoral Thesis at Columbia University. Teaching and research work in the fields of teacher training, higher education, qualitative research and teaching methodology. Author of 10 books and 34 chapters. He has directed 25 theses (5 with extraordinary prize) and has received 311 citations.

Author of 44 scientific articles, 10 indexed in the JCR of the SSI and 7 in the SJR of SCOPUS. Participant in 92 international and national events, and speaker at 22 conferences in international and national conferences. European consultant in Ibero-American cooperation projects on education and teacher training in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Chile, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama and the Dominican Republic. He is currently director of the PhD program in Education and Society at the University of Barcelona. Visiting professor at universities in Brazil, Colombia and Chile.

Jordi Méndez

Dr. Jordi Méndez Ulrich

PhD in Health Psychology by the Autonomous University of Barcelona, and assistant professor in the Department of Diagnosis and Research Methods of the Faculty of Education of the University of Barcelona, and in the Department of Basic Psychology of the Autonomous University of Barcelona. He also collaborates with the online Open University of Catalonia. He is member of the FODIP group in which he is involved in several projects as the Horizon 2020 ACCOMPLISSH project, led by the University of Groningen.

He has also was member from 2014 to 2016 with the Commissioner of the Rector for Participation, Employability and Social Entrepreneurship, where he has led some projects in Social Entrepreneurship as a MOOC on Social Entrepreneurship founded by the Catalan Government, and some mentoring programs with students and staff of the UB.

Trinidad Mentado

PhD in Pedagogy from the University of Barcelona. Member of the FODIP Group (Teacher Training and Pedagogical Innovation), Consolidated Research Group by the Generalitat of Catalonia (2014SGR335). Coordinator of RELFIDO, international network of scientific and technical cooperation at European and Latin American level in the field of teacher training and innovation. Member of the International Observatory of the Teaching Profession and member of the University Network of Social Entrepreneurship FECYT and member of the Research Group A Change of Culture in Contemporary Universities in the 21st Century of the Autonomous University of Barcelona. His lines of research are focused on teacher training and the organization and management of institutions. Last projects in which he participates: “Training of managers and construction of a network of good practices for the government and the management of the university. 0EDU – Educational Sciences. Ministry of Science and Innovation “and” The professional knowledge of the university professor: processes of construction and transfer to the teaching practice. Nuria Serrat

PhD in Pedagogy from the University of Barcelona. Associate professor and researcher at the Faculty of Education of the UB.

From 2008-2015, Deputy Coordinator of the FODIP Group – Docent Training and Pedagogic Innovation. Member of the International Observatory of the Professió Docent i of RELFIDO (European and Latin American Network of Training and Research in Teaching and Teaching Management). She has participated as a researcher and teacher in training projects for trainers for various universities, institutions and companies, and in master’s, postgraduate and specialization courses teaching communication subjects in the classroom, teaching methodology and training strategies for higher education and lifelong learning . He has also worked on international projects for teacher improvement and innovation in the Dominican Republic, Bolivia, Costa Rica and Chile.

He has been scholar in the Communication and Promotion Area of the same University for three years and has recently worked on the communication of projects like “Mi Cuerpo me Gusta” of the research group Communication, Advertising and Society of the Pompeu Fabra University. He has also been schoolar of scientific divulgation in the team of UAB Divulga, a blog of news in the field of research within this University.

Member of the research group FODIP (Teacher Education and Pedagogical Innovation), at Department of Teaching and Learning and Education Organitzación (University of Barcleona). Participates in different international and national research projects. Since 2015, he is a member of the Student Observatory of the University of Barcelona and the International Observatory of the Teaching Profession (OBIPD).

His lines of research are focused on higher education and teacher education. Specifically, he works on issues related to university learning, the social dimension of the university and pedagogical innovation in university education.

Gabriel Hervás Nicolás

Teacher and lecturer in training of the Department of Didactics and Educational Organization at the University of Barcelona (FPI-2016). He is currently working on his doctoral thesis related to the teaching and development of Higher Education teachers and, concurrently, participating in the MA degree in University Teaching for Novice Teachers.

Teacher of Primary and Secondary Education, Bachelor’s degree in History, MA degree in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language and MA degree in Research and Educational Innovation. He has worked as a teacher, educational consultant and program coordinator in different educational contexts.

Member since 2014 of FODIP (Research group on Teachers’ Training and Educational Innovation), he has participated in several projects of research and innovation at a local, national and international level.

Degree in Special Education, with a Master’s degree in Management and Management of Educational Centers, adviser, guidance in Primary Education.
He is currently studying the Doctorate in Education and Society in Research in didactics, training and educational evaluation, collaborates in various research projects and educational innovation, within the Department of Didactics and Educational Organization of the University of Barcelona in the Consolidated Research Group the Government of Catalonia “Teacher Training and Pedagogical Innovation” (FODIP).
