TOINN - Erasmus

The current edition of Erasmus+ fosters development in the fields of education, training, youth and sport for the period 2014–2020, and seeks to improve international mobility and educational cooperation between countries.

Erasmus+ offers countries support and funding for activities and projects in three areas of “key actions”:

  1. “Mobility of individuals” (Key Action 1) promotes opportunities for people to engage in learning, from students and young people in general to teaching staff and youth workers. Like key actions 2 and 3, this action covers the five fields of higher education, vocational education and training, schools, adult education, and youth.
  2. “Cooperation for innovation and exchange of good practices” (Key Action 2) aims to improve the quality and exchange of good practices in the five fields mentioned above.
  3. “Support for politicy reform” (Key Action 3) covers actions that concern education and training through processes of reflection, dialogue and data collection.

Key Action 2: Cooperation for innovation and exchange of good practices

Under this action, Erasmus+ funds inter-organizational projects like TO INN, where organizations main aim is to work together to improve the quality of higher education, vocational education and training, and quality of life for young people. One of the conditions for funding is that projects must include innovative and up-to-date practices that reinforce cooperation and knowledge transfer locally, nationally and internationally.

Within the field of higher education, priority is made for large-scale projects aimed at reinforcing the capacities of institutions in the countries in the programme and, in particular, the other countries associated with it. The overall objective is to create a dynamic environment in which countries work transnationally to develop, modernize and internationalize their HE systems and institutions.
